Prepare accurate estimates for all projects by gathering information and analyzing important metrics. Analyzes sketches, drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documents to prepare time, cost, labor, percentage of profit, and material estimates for various production jobs. Will have excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset. Must also be thorough and apt in managing relationships with key persons.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Receives all quotation requests from the sales team and customer service to prepare estimates in E2 Shop System
  • Gathers and reviews information necessary to estimate job including artwork, blueprints, specifications, and other related material
  • Works closely with internal and external customers to formulate estimates and resolve conflicts
  • Compiles list of material, labor, and time requirements, and estimates equipment requirements and sub contracted services, utilizing knowledge of products and printing techniques
  • Computes cost estimates and price summaries for specified jobs, and presents prepared estimates
  • Check job cycle information to ensure estimated hours vs. actual hours are aligned
  • Conduct special studies as necessary to establish standard cost data or to effect cost reductions
  • Maintains performance metrics databases to ensure effectiveness of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Use of strong skills in mathematics and must be good judgement of color, design & printing quality
  • Maintain regular attendance
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Completes all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Follow all safety and work rules and regulations
  • Perform cleaning duties as assigned
  • Other job duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos & write correspondence
  • Effectively present information to individuals, small groups, customers and employees of the organization
  • Ability to work independently with little or no instruction
  • Word processing and spreadsheet knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility to adjust to daily needs
  • Undergo a reference or security check and pass a drug test
  • Work with a sense of urgency
  • Team player
  • Good at problem solving
